Meet Dr Ranjna Sud
Dr. Ranjna Sud, BDS (India), LDS (Finland), DDS (USA) retired from dentistry in 2011, and is greatly missed by her coworkers and patients. She received her Dental Degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Ann Arbor and dental license from state of Michigan in 1983. Dr. Sud has been involved in the practice of dentistry for over 30 years. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, Indian Dental Association and Finnish Dental Association. In 2007 she completed a highly intensive training course from "Academy of Pain Research" in California on use of Acupuncture for Physicians for pain management.
Dr. Suds' passage from her homeland to the state of Michigan was an extensive journey stretched over three decades and covering three continents. She originally hails from the State of Himachal Pradesh, which lies in the foothills of the great Mount Everest in Northern India. She did her undergraduate work from Mumbai, India. Later she received a scholarship for higher education to study in Helsinki, Finland. There after completing her studies she practiced dentistry in Helsinki. Later she married and moved to the United States. Presently Plymouth, Michigan is her home where she lives with her family. Her husband is a physicist, her son is a doctor and her daughter-in-law is also a dentist. Every other year she visits her native country and contributes her services to underprivileged in rural areas of the country. Dr. Sud is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. In her free time she likes to read and has travelled around the globe with her family.
